Last year, I collaborated with the leadership team at Entero, as well as with Sharon McIntyre on their marketing initiatives for the year.  We created a series of online, outdoor and print ads, updated their logo family, worked on their sponsorship opportunities, created a detailed brand guideline, and brought their updated look and feel to their web presence.

Shadow Lake

High Tea Anyone?

If you haven’t been up to Shadow Lake Lodge (19 km west of Banff on the Trans Canada Highway), you definitely have to try and get there this summer. It’s a 14 km hike or mountain bike on a marked trail (starting at the Red Earth Creek parking lot) up to the lodge. It’s not only a spectacular location, but they also happen to serve the most amazing high tea.  If you do decide to bring a group up for high tea, reserve in advance so they have time to prepare…and bring $15 for the snacks, or hope that you have nice friends :).

I was fortunate enough to collaborate with the VISAGE team this year on a few of their marketing initiatives, including a refresh of their established logo, as well as an update to their marketing collateral and brand guidelines.

VISAGE Information Solutions is probably one of the most interesting companies I’ve worked with. VISAGE is data exploration and visual analytics software for the petroleum industry, and the capabilities of the software are truly amazing. Visit their site to learn more.

On our way back from training in Grande Cache, we stopped in Hinton to visit my Uncle Keith. Keith is involved with the Hinton Mountain Bike Club, and took us on a tour of the local trails that they’ve been hard at work on.

If you ever are in the neighbourhood (just 45 mins from Jasper), I highly recommend you check out their trails…they have endless amounts of true single track riding, and their trail system offers terrain for riders of all levels (including a bike park).

An excuse to catch a breather after trying to keep up with Dad and Uncle Keith.

My friend Erin twisted my arm into running leg 4 (Mt. Hamel) of the Canadian Death Race. No, I’m just teasing, she didn’t really have to twist my arm. I’m from Grande Cache and love the trails around the town, so I didn’t need any convincing.
