Nipika Mountain Resort – Simply Spectacular. Spectacularly Simple.

For those of you familiar with my blog, you’ll know that Nipika Mountain Eco-resort is one of my favourite places in the whole world. For those who are not familiar with Nipika, it is a magical place to recharge, ski up a storm (or trail run and mountain bike in the summer time), as well as enjoy some peace and quiet. Ths past weekend was no exception…

The cross country ski conditions at Nipika were quite good for mid March. Even though we had fairly warm weather all weekend, the trails held up and we were able to ski the entire weekend (conditions were better for skate than classic)…boy was I pooped by the drive home on Sunday!

Nipika is completely off the grid…which means no cell phones or televisions. This equated to plenty of time for cross country skiing (I think we skied just about every trail they had ;)), crib (I won’t mention who won…), great food, and plenty of relaxation. But enough reading about it, check out these amazing photos (note…the high quality pics are courtesy of http://www.chrontography.com/).

Thanks to the Nipika crew for your (as per usual) great hospitality!

Now go check out Nipika, and if I was you, I would seriously consider looking at some of their upcoming summer events (including the Crazy Soles Trail Run and the Kootenay Krusher Mountain Bike Race). Their trails (just like their cabins) are simply spectacular.
