It was great to tag along with Erin and crew on their ski up the Goat Creek trail starting from the Banff Springs Hotel. This 19km trail ends up by Spray Lakes Road by Canmore. We opted to cross the river to do the 11km loop that heads back on the far side of the river on a narrow trail to the Banff Springs Hotel. The trails are in decent shape for classic skiing, although heavy traffic makes the skate skiing a bit bumpy (and impossible on the far side of the river). What a perfect day in the mountains with friends.
