From our first leg of our trip (Puerto Viejo), we headed across the border (a treacherous 150 meter bridge missing several planks) to Panama where we took a water taxi to the islands of Bocas Del Toro. We stayed on the main island (Isla Colon) at Bluff Beach Retreat – an eco resort right on the ocean. This Canadian operated resort is off the grid and we loved the location – about a 15 min drive to the busy main town.
Shauna, Tara, Celine and I set off for a week of adventure down to Costa Rica and Panama. We found lots of sun, exploration and plenty of laughter.
It’s been about 6 years since my last hair donation and I’ve been talking about this for a while now. It’s go time. I’m chopping off my locks in hopes of raising a good chunk of cash for the Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta!
For those of you not familiar with the Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta, they are a fantastic organization that helps build bridges of hope and pillars of support for families fighting childhood cancer.
This will be my third time lopping off my hair and I think it’s finally long enough to do so! The minimum donation is 12 inches (or 30 cms) and the hair will be donated to Angel Hair for Kids.
