Continuing my Tour De BC, I spent a few days with relatives in Vancouver and Surrey. It was quite the change of scenery and pace from Salt Spring and Tofino but one thing was similar…I was still spoiled with blue skies which meant lots of time to play outside!
After leaving the ever sunny Salt Spring Island, Jenny and I headed up to Tofino for the last few days of our adventure together before Jenny and I would go our separate ways. Having mentioned our upcoming trip to a few friends, we had no shortage of recommendations for things to do while visiting Tofino. Fortunately, we extended our stay by an additional day but it could easily have been many days longer. Tofino is nothing short of amazing. As outdoor enthusiasts, we were very excited with all our options!
Following our short jaunt in Naramata, Jenny and I continued our adventures to the lovely island of Salt Spring. We were fortunate to have amazing accommodations at Chateau Craig/Kuipers and we took full advantage of their beautiful home and surrounding outdoors.
For the first leg of my 3 months off, Jenny and I made our way to Salt Spring Island for a few days. On the way, we were fortunate enough to connect with Cathy who invited us to crash the Scott Curry triathlon training camp in Naramata. The triathlon group stayed at the amazing Therapy Vineyards so it was an extra treat to join them for a great dinner, evening of visiting and morning swim before heading on our way…
