This Remembrance Day weekend was another reminder to give thanks for all that we have to be grateful for…including our health and chance to enjoy the outdoors with loved ones.
Heading home for Dad’s birthday weekend, we were able to skate ski Saturday with minimal exposed roots or grass – thanks to the Pembina Nordic Ski Club having packed the few inches of snow Drayton has – setting a strong base. Saturday night we got another inch or so of snow so we were able to head out again Sunday and someone had trackset/groomed the fresh snow. What a beautiful first weekend of skiing this season! Thank you Pembina Nordic.
This is certainly the earliest I’ve been skiing any year…and I’m hoping the snow sticks around for many many more. I’ve joined a few friends in a ski challenge for the season. My target = 300kms. Let the games begin!
